What are the GCash cash-in fees?

There are several ways to cash in to GCash, both online and over-the-counter, but each method comes with its own fees and limits.

Here’s a look at each one:

Cash in fees for over-the-counter

You can visit one of GCash’s partners to cash in over the counter and save on fees, as the first 8,000 PHP you cash in offline each month is free. On any amount after that, you’ll have to pay a GCash cash-in fee of 2%. Your free cash-in limit resets on the first day of each month. This applies to partners such as Palawan and ECPay.

To understand the monthly 8,000 PHP free cash-in limit, which resets at the beginning of every calendar month, here’s how it works:

DateTransaction (PHP)Monthly Total (PHP)Fee Calculation (PHP)Amount Received (PHP)
1 May7,500 cash in7,500No fee7,500
5 May1,000 cash in8,500Total is over the limit by 500 PHP. Fee: 500 x 2% = 10 PHP990
1 June5,000 cash in5,000Limit has reset, no fee5,000

That being said, some partners charge their own fees, such as:

  • The GCash cash-in fee in 7-11 is 1%⁸
  • The Cebuana GCash cash-in fee varies per branch⁸

Check out the GCash website for a full list of their partners to find out where else you can cash in.

Cash in fees for linked bank accounts and online banking

GCash is partnered with over 40 banks, allowing you to cash in via linked bank accounts and online banking apps. If you connect your bank account to GCash, you can easily transfer money from that bank directly on the GCash app.

If you’d rather use your bank’s app or website, you can still transfer funds to your GCash account with InstaPay or PESONet. With InstaPay, you’ll receive your funds in real-time, but processing times for PESONet change depending on the time you cash in.

Banks can set their own cash in GCash fees, typically ranging from 5–25 PHP, so be sure to check with your financial institution before cashing in. If you’re with BPI and UnionBank, you’ll only have to pay a GCash cash in fee of 5 PHP per transaction.
