The Irish Revolut customers have access to an Irish IBAN for EUR transfers within the EEA, a GBP account sort code and account number, and SWIFT account details for international transfers in supported currencies.⁸
When you want to add money to your Revolut account in Ireland, there are a few different methods you can use, which may occur different fees:

The steps for putting money into your Irish Revolut account vary depending on which method you’re using.
To complete a transfer from your bank you send it as you normally would, inputting the account details that come with your Revolut account.¹
To add money to Revolut with a card, follow these steps²:

If you want to use Google Pay or Apple Pay to add money to Revolut, here’s what you need to do³:
Revolut are rolling out the option to deposit into their accounts using select partner retail shops. Once the option becomes available to you, here’s how you do it⁴:
At this point a barcode will come up which is valid for 30 minutes. You need to show the barcode to the cashier at your chosen deposit location, then deposit the cash before getting a receipt.
The Revolut card draws from your Revolut account. To put money on the card, you just need to add money to the currency balance of your account.

Revolut accounts have an annual limit on deposits which applies to all top-up methods, including bank transfers, digital wallets, card payments, cash deposits and transfers from other Revolut users. Revolut doesn't state what this limit is, just that it’s set automatically, and can’t be changed or checked.⁵
Cash deposits have specific sub-limits, which vary depending on the time period⁴:
- €1000 per deposit
- €2250 per calendar month
- €10,000 per calendar year.
The amount of time it takes for a deposit to appear in your account depends on the payment method.

If you’re having problems adding money to your Revolut account it could be because you’ve reached your limit, or because there’s an issue with the payment method.⁶
You may be facing:
- Revolut limits have been reached
- 3D secure failed because the deposit wasn’t authenticated

- Card brand isn't supported
- Technical issues.
When you have a problem you could try a different payment method, or speak to the provider the money is coming from.
