When you sign up for the Legend card, you’ll pay a joining fee of 5,000 INR. After this, there’s no annual fee to pay.
The foreign transaction fee for the IndusInd Legend credit card is 1.8%. This applies whenever you spend in a foreign currency - if you’re abroad and make a purchase or withdrawal, or if you’re spending online with a foreign retailer which bills in a currency other than INR.
There’s also a dynamic currency conversion fee of 1%. This applies if you’re charged in INR by a foreign merchant. If you’re asked whether you’d like to pay in INR when overseas, it’s usually safest to say no. Agreeing sounds convenient, but it means the merchant can select the exchange rate used, which may include a fee, as well as paying the 1% IndusInd fee.
Other costs to watch out for include possible fees when you pay rent through third-party merchants, load an ewallet or pay for your utilities. Check the costs that apply based on the way you use your card, before you transact.
Both the IndusInd Pinnacle credit card vs Legend offer premium experiences for high-earning individuals looking for a lifestyle credit card. Either may be a good fit - here’s a side-by-side look at a couple of important points to consider if you’re not sure which is right for you:

The IndusInd Legend credit card charges a 1.8% foreign transaction fee whenever you spend in a currency other than INR. This applies both when you’re overseas and when shopping online with international merchants.
In practice, this means every international purchase or withdrawal costs 1.8% more.
Your spending is converted back to INR using the network exchange rate, with the 1.8% fee added on top. Because this fee is built into the final billed amount, it’s not always easy to see how much extra you’re paying.
For example, a 1,000 USD purchase could cost around 18 USD more just from this fee alone. If you use your card frequently abroad, these costs can add up quickly.
There’s also a 1% dynamic currency conversion (DCC) fee to be aware of. This applies if you choose to pay in INR with a foreign merchant. While this might seem convenient, it often results in higher overall costs, as merchants may also add their own markup to the exchange rate.
A smart way to avoid the possibility of extra fees for overseas spending is to use the Wise travel card. With Wise, you can hold a balance in foreign currencies and spend them with no additional fees when you travel. More on that next.
