Yes. The HDFC Infinia Credit Card is considered safe to use with normal precautions. HDFC offers the MyCards~~²~~ service which lets you view and manage your card remotely using an app, including blocking the card if you’re ever concerned about security.
Through MyCards, users can also activate their card, manage controls such as online spending and contactless transactions, view transactions and download e-statements. When you use your HDFC Infinia Metal Credit Card in a foreign currency, your spending is converted back to INR using the card network exchange rate plus a forex fee of 2%.
If you spend with a foreign merchant and pay in INR, the card fee is 1.75% - the merchant may also apply additional fees with this type of transaction, which is known as a dynamic currency conversion payment.
When you spend with your Infinia card, you can earn 5 Reward Points on every 150 INR spent, and up to 10x Reward Points on Smartbuy spend. Redemption rates using your points are as follows:

You can use your HDFC Infinia card abroad to spend and withdraw as easily as you would in India. However, bear in mind that a fee of 2% applies on all foreign currency spending.
Your purchase value will be converted to INR using the network exchange rate, and a 2% forex markup fee is added. The total amount is then billed to your card, which can increase your overall travel costs.
In addition, from 17 May 2026, HDFC Bank also applies a 1.75% Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) markup fee on transactions charged in INR at international locations or with merchants registered overseas. This means that if a foreign merchant offers to bill you directly in INR instead of the local currency, you could incur this additional fee. To help avoid unnecessary charges, it is usually better to pay in the local currency when traveling abroad.
The HDFC Infinia card offers great travel perks for eligible customers but there’s a fee of 2% whenever you spend overseas. This can mean you’re paying more than you expect when you use your HDFC Infinia card for travel.
