There are a few reasons that a business may need to send money from PayPal to Payoneer. For example:
Unfortunately, it isn’t possible to directly transfer money from PayPal to Payoneer. Instead, you’ll need to withdraw PayPal funds to your bank account, and then make a payment from your bank account to Payoneer.
Here are the steps you need to follow to make a bank transfer to Payoneer:¹
While you can’t make a payment between your own PayPal and Payoneer accounts, you can get paid by clients through this method.
Payoneer has recently added PayPal as an option for its ‘Request Payment’ feature, for US and UK account holders. This lets your clients and customers use PayPal to pay you, and the money will go into your Payoneer account.²
However, Payoneer has made it clear that this option is not for ‘self-loading’ or topping up your Payoneer card.³
It’s free to withdraw funds from your PayPal business account to your UK bank account, as long as no currency conversion is required.⁴
And when it comes to the next step - sending a payment from your UK bank account to your Payoneer account - the same receiving account fees apply as if you’d received a payment from a client or customer.
The good news is that it’s fee-free if you’re paying money into a receiving account in the same currency as your bank.⁵ For example, if sending funds from your UK bank account to your GBP Payoneer receiving account.
But if the currencies don’t match, a currency conversion fee of 0.5% will apply.⁵
PayPal doesn’t charge a withdrawal fee, unless a currency conversion is involved or you’re withdrawing to a US bank account. In either case, the fee is 3%.⁴
As you can’t directly send money from PayPal to Payoneer, the time it takes to get your funds into your Payoneer account can vary.
PayPal takes 3-5 working days for standard transfers,⁶ while the time it takes for your bank to send the payment to Payoneer can vary (depending on the bank).
Depending what you’re using it for, PayPal can have the following disadvantages:
The only way to withdraw money from your PayPal account is to send it to your bank account. However, you can choose an Instant rather than Standard payment if you need the money in a hurry (extra fees may apply).
With a Wise Business multi-currency account you can access local account details (only with Wise Business Advanced) for 8+ currencies, including USD, EUR and GBP.

Once you set up your account details (only with Wise Business Advanced) you can use these to withdraw funds from Paypal directly to your Wise Business account in the chosen currency.
