How to make an international transfer with LCL?

With LCL, you can make an international transfer online or at a branch. You can also transfer money via ATMs or by phone between your personal LCL accounts.

Online international transfers

LCL customers can make an international transfer online from their account. To complete the transaction, you must:

  • Log in to your personal account using your username and password.
  • Have your bank details (BIC and IBAN of the beneficiary) ready.

When logged in:

  • Select Current Transactions from the menu.
  • Click on Make a Transfer under the Transfer tab (top left corner).

You will then select the sending account and the receiving account. If you need to add a new beneficiary, the transaction must be validated by an advisor.

Once the beneficiary is registered with the necessary details (IBAN number, name, or company name):

  • Enter the amount to transfer and the desired transfer date.
  • Choose whether it is a standing order or one-time transfer.

You will receive an email or text to validate the transaction. Simply enter the security code received to confirm the transfer.

International transfers at a branch

You can also visit any LCL branch to make a transfer. A list of its 1,400 branches² and their addresses can be found online.

There’s no need to book an appointment — go to the counter and ask for an international transfer.

Bring the following documents:

  • Valid ID card or passport
  • Recipient’s bank details

Tell the advisor the transfer amount, deadline, and whether it’s a one-off or recurring transfer.

Have ready:

  • The recipient’s IBAN (up to 34 digits)
  • Their SWIFT or BIC code (8–11 alphanumeric characters)
  • Their name and address
  • Currency, amount, and desired transfer deadline

To receive money into your LCL account, you need to provide:

  • Your RIB (Bank Identity Statement) with your IBAN
  • The SWIFT/BIC code designating LCL
  • Currency, amount, and expected timeframe

How long does an international transfer with LCL take?

  • SEPA transfers in euros: usually 1 to 3 business days.
  • Transfers to the EEA outside the eurozone: generally 4 business days.
  • Transfers outside the EEA: may take longer depending on the banking network and countries involved.
