Overseas Filipino Bank is a digital-only bank which caters to the unique needs of Overseas Filipinos (OF) and Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW).
As overseas workers commonly need low cost ways to remit money home to loved ones in the Philippines, the account types have features for sending and receiving funds in pesos, as well as linked debit cards for spending and withdrawals.
No. OFBank and LANDBANK aren’t the same. OFBank is a wholly owned subsidiary of LANDBANK and the accounts available through OFBank are different to those on offer at LANDBANK.
No. There are no Overseas Filipino Bank branches - instead users can access services through the OFBank app.
However, LANDBANK branches may still assist OFBank users with certain over-the-counter transactions, including ATM/debit card claiming or replacement, cash and check deposits in areas without a LANDBANK Cash Deposit Machine, and withdrawals exceeding ₱50,000.
Overseas Filipino Bank has two different ATM deposit account types, which both offer an OFBank ATM card. You can use your account to hold, send and receive money, and view transactions with the OFBank mobile banking service.
The two account types are aimed at overseas workers, including their beneficiaries and families in the Philippines. Here’s a summary of your options:
| OFBank account/card | Who it’s for² | Key features |
|---|---|---|
| OFBank Visa Debit Card³ | Overseas Filipinos and Overseas Filipino Workers and their beneficiaries | Interest bearing PHP account, with options to send and receive funds, and withdraw at an ATM globally |
| OFBank Regular Debit Card⁴ | OFW beneficiaries aged 7–17 years old | Interest bearing PHP account for children, with local payment and withdrawal features |
OFBank offers ATM deposit accounts and cards, as well as remittance services and loans. The services available and the means of accessing your account are designed to fit the needs of overseas Filipinos who need remote account control and convenient payment services.
Here are some of the OFBank account features you can expect:
It's helpful to note that the account intended for children aged 7–17 has fewer features compared to the adult account. You can't withdraw money internationally or send remittances using a child's account, for example, and online purchases through Visa-accredited merchants aren't available either. This enhances the security of the children's account while still allowing them to receive remittances and spend locally.
Here are the OFBank fees you’ll need to consider when signing up:
| Service | OFBank fees |
|---|---|
| Account opening | No fee |
| LANDBANK ATM usage | No fee |
| Interbank withdrawal or balance enquiry at ATM at a non-LANDBANK terminal | Fees set by terminal operator |
| International ATM withdrawal | 150 PHP |
| International ATM balance enquiry | 50 PHP |
| LANDBANK ATM transfer OFBank to OFBank/LANDBANK | 10 PHP |
| LANDBANK ATM transfer OFBank to another bank | 25 PHP |
| ATM transfers at a non-LANDBANK terminal | 25 PHP |
| Bill payment | No fee |
| Instapay transfer | 25 PHP |
| Card replacement | 150 PHP |
