What is the OneCard credit card?

The OneCard credit card is a Visa credit card issued through the OneCard app, in partnership with several major banks and financial institutions in India. The premium metal card has no joining or annual fee, but does have some potential costs depending on how you transact.

If you're on the fence about OneCard, this One metal card review should give you plenty of details to make your decision. Let’s dive right in.

OneCard benefits

So, is the One credit card good, and who’s the right customer fit? Let's work through the OneCard benefits you can enjoy before we look at the costs associated with using the card.

Rewards system

When you spend with the OneCard, you can earn rewards. Rewards vary depending on the spending category, but you can get 5x rewards on your favourite categories to give your earnings a boost.

Points never expire once earned, and you can redeem them by swiping right in the OneCard app. Full details of earn rates and redemption options are offered in the app, so you can check out your reward-earning potential easily.

One metal card design

The OneCard is a premium card made of metal. This gives a luxury look and feel to the product.

There’s no fee for the primary cardholder to get a metal card on sign-up, although costs can apply for supplementary cardholders or if you need to replace a card after it’s lost or stolen.

App and user experience

The OneCard app is available on both Apple and Android phones. It’s well rated by existing users, scoring 4.6 stars on Google Play² and 4.7 out of 5 on the Apple App Store³ at the time of writing (26th March 2026).

OneCard credit card lounge access

There’s no OneCard credit card lounge access offered as a standard.

However, OneCard does have specific offers⁴ with partner merchants which include travel-focused providers. You might benefit from discounts on hotels, flights and other travel bookings - including lounge access through partner providers like Klook.

OneCard metal card charges

It’s important to explore the costs of using a OneCard before you sign up. While this is a very low-cost card, that doesn’t mean it’s free to use. Costs may apply depending on how you use your card to transact, and if you don’t repay your entire bill on time, every time.

Let’s explore the OneCard metal card charges you can expect when you sign up and spend. As OneCard is issued through various banking partners, we’ve selected Federal Bank⁵ as our example for costs. Do check the specific details before you spend if you sign up for OneCard via a different banking partner.

Annual and joining fees

The OneCard has no joining fee and no annual fee to pay. There’s no card issuance fee for the primary cardholder.

If you choose to add a supplementary member to your account and want a metal card for them, there’s an issuance fee here, which is 3,000 INR. This fee is waived if your supplementary cardholder takes a plastic card instead.

OneCard forex charges

The OneCard forex charges add 1% to the costs of using your card in a foreign currency. This applies when you spend overseas, or if you’re spending online with a retailer based in a different country.

The costs of your owner's spending are converted back to INR for billing, using the Visa exchange rate, with a forex charge of 1% added. This is the amount you see on your OneCard credit card invoice at the end of the month.

How to apply for a OneCard credit card

You can apply for the OneCard in a few simple steps, using your phone. You’ll need to enter your personal details and pass a credit check, but the application can be completed in just five minutes.

To be eligible for the OneCard, you must be an Indian citizen under 60 years old and in a supported area. Applicants with a credit score of 750 or above are most likely to be successful, although some applications with a lower credit score may still be eligible for this card⁶.

Here’s how to apply for a OneCard credit card:

  1. Download the OneCard app and tap Sign up.
  2. Follow the prompts to enter your mobile number and email.
  3. Enter your personal details, PAN, and residential address.
  4. Tick the box to allow the app to fetch your credit reports from CIBIL and Experian.
  5. Once your credit report has been checked, your application can be approved.

Is One credit card good for international spending?

The OneCard has a 1% fee for international spending, which applies when you spend or withdraw as you travel and when you spend in a foreign currency with an overseas ecommerce store.

This 1% forex fee is relatively low compared to some other banks and card providers, but it’s still a fee worth considering. When you spend overseas, your bill is converted to INR using the Visa rate plus this 1% forex charge, pushing up prices on every international purchase.

If you’re looking for ways to limit the costs of foreign currency spending, we've got a suggestion for you in a moment - the Wise travel card, which lets you hold a balance in foreign currencies and spend with no forex fee once you have the balance you need.
