Here’s a simple guide to how personal and business accounts work at Wise:
You can only have one personal Wise account. It's against our Customer Agreement to create more than one.
You can have a separate business account for each of your different businesses, and manage them all from a single login.
Personal accounts
You can only have one personal Wise account. This helps us keep your account secure and comply with financial regulations.
If you’ve forgotten your login details, it’s best to follow the steps to reset your password or change your email address instead of creating a new account.
Business accounts
You can add multiple Wise Business accounts for each of your separate legal entities (e.g. a Limited Company, Partnership, or LLC).
How can I add a new business account?
On the web
Click on your name in the top right-hand corner
Select Open a business account from the dropdown menu
Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your new business profile
On the app
Tap on your profile picture or initials in the top-left corner
Select Open a business account
Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your new business profile
What if I'm a sole trader or freelancer?
If you're registered as a sole trader or freelancer, you’re considered the same legal entity as your business. This means you can only have one Wise Business account.
Good to know:
Each of your businesses must be a separate legal entity. This means you can't open different business accounts for multiple trading names under the same company.
You can easily switch between your accounts by clicking your name (on the web) or profile picture (on the app).
How to add a personal account if I signed up for Business first?

What if I accidentally created a duplicate account?
If you've accidentally created a second personal account, we'll need to close one of them. This keeps your account secure and avoids any issues with your transfers.
Please get in touch with our support team and let us know:
The email address on the account you want to keep
The email address on the account you want to close
Our team will then help you move any remaining money and close the duplicate account safely.
