1. About these Terms
1.1. These Young Explorer terms and conditions (“Terms”) are exclusive to customers who use our Young Explorer service as detailed in these Terms. By using this service, the parent or legal guardian (“you”) and Wise Payments Limited ("Wise/us/we") enter into a legally binding agreement defined by these Terms, which outline the rights and responsibilities of both parties.
The collection and use of personal data provided to us is governed by our Privacy Notice and Young Explorer Privacy Notice.
Our Customer Agreement, Wise Card Terms, Acceptable Use Policy, Fees and Pricing, and any other additional documents also apply to your use of this service. This includes all provisions regarding disputes, refunds, unauthorised transactions, and any other card-related matters. By activating and using the Young Explorer card, you agree to all relevant sections of these documents that apply.
These Terms will form part of the legal agreement between you and Wise. As the Wise Account holder, you are responsible for the Young Explorer card and for ensuring any use of the Young Explorer service complies with these Terms.
1.2. How to contact us. You can contact us by email, web chat or telephone by logging into your Wise Account or through our Help Centre.
2. What is our Young Explorer card service
2.1. About the Young Explorer service. The Young Explorer is a service connecting a Young Explorer card to your Wise Account that enables you to order and manage a balance of a card for a child to whom you are a parent or a legal guardian (“Parent”). The Young Explorer service allows your child to spend from the shared group in your Wise Account using the Young Explorer card or as otherwise described in these Terms (“Young Explorer service”). As a Parent or Sub-Parent you can only join a maximum of five (5) Young Explorer groups.
2.2. Sub-Parent. You can invite another Wise customer with a Wise Account held in their own name to manage the Young Explorer group (“Sub-Parent”). Only one (1) Sub-Parent can be added to a group with one (1) Young Explorer user. Sub-Parent joins the Young Explorer group voluntarily and can leave it at any time. Any use of Young Explorer service by the Sub-Parent is subject to these Terms, Customer Agreement and any other documents applicable to the Young Explorer service. When adding Sub-Parent:
-
a. Sub-Parent can (i) add money to the Young Explorer group; (ii) view the Young Explorer group’s balance; and (iii) view the Young Explorer card’s transaction history;
-
b. Sub-Parent will not be able to withdraw money once they send it to the group with a Young Explorer user;
-
c. Sub-Parent cannot share the group with any other individual and cannot see the Parent’s other balances;
-
d. The Parent has the right to close the Young Explorer group with the Sub-Parent at their sole discretion, at any time and without notice, and Sub-Parent cannot oppose this decision;
-
e. Either the Parent or Wise may remove a Sub-Parent from the Young Explorer group at any time. Following a removal, the Parent may invite a new Sub-Parent;
-
f. If either the Parent's or the Sub-Parent's Wise Account is suspended or closed under our Customer Agreement, Sub-Parent will not be able to access the group with the Young Explorer user.
2.3. You may only apply for the Young Explorer service for children between the age of 6 - 17 years old (“Young Explorer user”).

2.5. Use of the Young Explorer service does not create a new Wise Account or a joint account with a Young Explorer user and, if applicable, with the Sub-Parent. If the Parent’s Wise Account is suspended or closed in line with our Customer Agreement, the Young Explorer service will not be accessible.
