Wise Platform Mission Update Q4 2025

Wise

Wise Platform finished the year off strong with welcoming new partners in Brazil and Canada, entering a new market; the Philippines and expanding its existing partnerships across the world. Throughout the quarter, we also shipped a number of product updates to make connecting with Wise even easier and simpler for banks and digital platforms.

Meet our new partners

Wealthsimple

We announced that Wise Platform partnered with Wealthsimple, one of Canada’s fastest growing and most trusted money management platforms. This partnership enables Wealthsimple's chequing and joint chequing customers across Canada to access fast and transparent international payments to 30 countries in over 10 currencies directly from the Wealthsimple app or website.

“To bring Canadians the best cross-border payment experience, it only made sense to partner with Wise. By integrating their global payments network directly into Wealthsimple chequing, we’re giving our clients a faster, more affordable, and seamless way to move their money across borders. And there’s no extra apps, no hidden markups and no friction to deal with,” said Hanna Zaidi, VP of Payments Strategy and Chief Compliance Officer for Wealthsimple.

GoTyme

In November, Wise Platform launched in the Philippines with GoTyme Bank becoming the first bank to go live with faster, low-cost, more transparent cross‑border payments in the market. This integration is addressing long‑standing pain points for Overseas Filipino Workers and their families by enabling over 7.8 million GoTyme customers to receive money from over 11,000 banks worldwide in 23 major currencies with full pricing transparency and faster settlement times.

“Our collaboration with Wise is about creating a trusted remittance experience that feels effortless. By pairing Wise’s world-class technology and global network with GoTyme Bank’s simple, beautiful banking, we’re redefining how Filipinos support their families, grow their ambitions, and stay connected to what matters most,” commented Nate Clarke, President and CEO of GoTyme Bank.

XP

In December, we partnered with XP, one of Brazil’s largest financial institutions with over 2 million customers, to provide their users with a new multi-currency Global Account and travel card. Through this partnership, Wise Platform now issues multi-currency accounts in US dollars, Euros, and British pounds, as well as debit cards directly through the XP app.

“The new XP Global Account stems from our commitment to ensuring a truly integrated and functional experience for clients who invest with us. The partnership with Wise Platform and Visa strengthens our ecosystem, delivering a modern solution aligned with the highest quality standards of the XP brand. Our focus is on making the investor's financial life simpler and more efficient, offering tools connected to their lifestyle anywhere in the world,” said Ciro Moreira, Head of Cards at XP.

Product Updates

Swift ISO

Wise Platform offers a Correspondent Services Solution, which allows our partners to use our payments services by instructing us over Swift. To continue providing a smooth service to our partners, we made the migration to the industry-wide Swift ISO standard in advance of the deadline in November 2025. This means that partners were able to switch from MT103 and MT202 messages to pacs.008 and pacs.009 messages without any interruption.

Sweeping

We built an even easier way for partners to move money out of their Wise Account. Wise Platform now allows partners to automate sweeping funds out of their account on a regular schedule, making managing liquidity easier and reducing the funds left overnight with Wise through a simple configuration that can be set up quickly

Hosted onboarding

Partners can now leverage Wise’s KYC in regions where they don’t have licenses. They can do this by embedding Wise’s own onboarding solution straight into their product with customised branding to make it an embedded flow. It allows partners to go live fast, reduce build and maintenance costs and enable for their customers a best-in-class onboarding journey with agents operating 24/7. This is already available in Singapore, the United States, Australia, Japan, the United Kingdom and India (individuals only).

Onboarding API

For partners wanting to keep full control of the onboarding UX of their customers, we have released a new API that specifies KYC information required. This can be used to submit what is collected by the partner directly. The first version of this region-agnostic API is currently optimised for UK business requirements, but will soon support requirements for all regions where Hosted Onboarding is available.

Funding via direct debit

We’ve heard from partners that their customers want to go through the end-to-end experience of booking cross-border payments without leaving the partner’s platform. Specifically by pulling funds automatically from their external bank account rather than doing this operation manually. To enable this flow, we have launched a new direct debit API for partners to pull funds from GBP (via Bacs), EUR (via SEPA) and USD (via ACH) bank accounts of their customers. We have also built the foundations to add more currencies to this API as demand grows.

Events

Money 20/20 USA

In Las Vegas, Lauren Langbridge, Wise Platform’s Americas General Manager, joined a panel discussing how banks can win in low-value cross-corder payments with Swift, the Royal Bank of Canada, Zepz and McKinsey & Co. Lauren highlighted that a big part of customer trust comes from transparency, meaning that people know exactly when their money will arrive, how much will be received, and have real-time tracking capabilities. She added that providing a convenient and transparent experience is a win-win for the business as it reduces customer service calls, translates into fewer failed transactions, and higher customer satisfaction scores.

Wise Connect APAC

In November, we hosted the biggest edition of our conference, Wise Connect APAC, in Singapore, welcoming over 200 senior executives from 78 companies from all across the Asia-Pacific region. The event boosted speakers from organisations such as BNI, Tyme Group and MBSB Bank with some of the key takeaways including:

  • SMEs expect seamless multi-market operations; cross-border payments providers with extensive licenses are seeing a rapid rise in financial provider partnerships.
  • Direct access and price transparency are key to hitting G20 cross-border payment targets - and momentum is building on both.
  • Reducing failure rates is a must for customer experience; direct access helps, but requires major investment across markets.

And hear from our existing partners…

Gusto

Slow, costly cross-border payments simply aren't good enough for small businesses who operate with limited resources. Gusto, a US-based payroll, HR, and benefits provider trusted by more than 400,000 small and mid-sized businesses is solving this problem with Wise Platform. We spoke with Samant Nagpal, Head of Payments and Risk, to discuss the current state of the SME market and how the business is using fast, transparent global payments to economically empower their customers.

EQ Bank

With over 600,000 personal and business customers, Canada’s EQ Bank knew it needed to offer cross-border payments services that reflected its ethos of convenience, transparency, and low cost. We recently discussed how they launched international payments in just one month on Wise Platform - with 75% arriving instantly* and 70% of customers becoming repeat users.

Our European partner, leading SME financial service provider Qonto, wanted to extend their customer-first approach to cross-border payments.
