1. Xerocon London

Accounting and bookkeeping professionals are brought together for Xerocon, hosted by Xero itself, the cloud-based accounting software company. While there is an iteration of the event taking place in the Colorado Convention Center in August, this UK-specific conference is can’t-miss.

While guest speakers like Louis Theroux and Dame Prue Leith DBE are sure to bring great charm and knowledge to proceedings, industry professionals will also be drawn in by Xero’s showcases of its latest innovations, alongside talks on AI innovation and a beloved wrap party.

The event boasts over 7000 attendees, 150 speakers, 175 exhibitors and 10 stages where influential and important speakers are showcasing the future of this space. This is an immersive conference unlike any other, where forward-thinking professionals are brought together to share ideas and improve efficiencies.

5. Accountex Virtual Summit

Accountex might be hosting a vital in-person event, but it also offers Webinar conferences that are available to all. The Accountex Virtual Summit is not one to be missed, as it is free to access live and offers a focused program to dive into.

The Summit will discuss the Autumn budget, feature 16 CPD accredited sessions and will examine how accountants can support small and medium-sized enterprises by making tax digital. This is a practical event from the comfort of your own home.

6. World Congress of Accountants

The World Congress of Accountants marks a high-profile and premier global event that acts as an Olympics of sorts, for the accountancy profession. The event brings together experts and accountants from over 100 countries, as they partner on the direction of the international industry.

To attend the event, one must be given an invitation personally, however some elements of the World Congress of Accountants will be made available digitally. Those attending can join in with panels and networking events, which will involve government representatives, professional firms, regulators and more.

7. AccountingWEB Live Digital

While AccountingWEB might be responsible for the Finance, Accounting and Bookkeeping Show, which will be taking place next in March 2027, but it also hosts year-round digital webinars. These vary massively in the topics being discussed, but the free seminars are brilliant ways to enhance your calendar.

The most recent example, as of this writing, focuses on making tax digital (MTD) and the importance of client engagement letters. How to smash the growth ceiling without stalling and a Q&A session demonstrate the versatility of the platform.

8. Accountex London

An exciting and cost-effective event to attend in London, the Accountex conference is consistently one of the biggest and best events in the industry. With over 17,000 attendees, 240 sessions, 17 theatres and 300 exhibitors, each year Accountex London is absolutely packed full of brilliant minds.

With one-to-one sessions, fantastic demos and a range of showcases from upstarts and major, well-known brands, the variety on offer is part of the event’s appeal. Visitors can get up to 16 CPD hours for attending, enhancing your knowledge. It’s also a fantastic space to network with like-minded individuals and perhaps find new professionals for your own company.

9. AICPA & CIMA ENGAGE 2027

Date: 7th-10th June, 2027
Location: Aria Resort & Casino, Las Vegas

The flashy Las Vegas event, hosted by the American Institute of CPAs and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, is a digital and in-person conference, titled Engage. The event wants to put the spotlight on the leading voices, moving ahead with a new wave of change.

Its 2026 edition celebrated its 10th year, all the stops were pulled out to feature massive guest speakers like Ryan Reynolds, and key voices in the accounting space. The Golf Classic is an especially well-known networking event, while the Town Hall is a great place to have an open discussion.

10. Scaling New Heights

Date: 27th - 30th June 2027
Location: Orlando, Florida

Scaling New Heights, organised by Woodard, is a fascinating event in the United States, which focuses on technological adaptation, with a particular interest in AI and strategic growth. While it is a great place for networking, it is the conference’s application and training offerings that appeal most.

2026’s theme of the year was Strange New World, with a unique angle on how the modern accounting landscape must adjust to keep up with changing times. They had expert speakers like Dr. Daniel Susskind and peer-driven meetups are a critical part of the schedule, a great chance to broaden your experience. Next year is set to be a good one too!
