Terms and Conditions for Click to Pay

1. Introduction

1.1. These Terms and Conditions for Click to Pay (“Terms”) govern the enrollment of an eligible Wise Card into Click to Pay as a standard feature of the Wise Card. These Terms constitute an agreement between you and the relevant Wise entity which issued your Wise Card, and are supplementary to and valid alongside the applicable Wise Card Supplement agreement and Customer Agreement governing the use of your Wise Card.

1.2. In these Terms:

  • “Card” refers to your Wise Card.

  • “Card Network” refers to Visa or Mastercard, as applicable.

  • “Click to Pay” refers to the digital checkout solution operated by the applicable Card Networks which allows you to use stored Profile Information when making payments on participating merchant websites.

  • Profile Information” refers to the stored personal data required for checkout through Click to Pay, which may include your name, email, mobile number, Card PAN (primary account number), Card expiry date, and billing address.

  • Wise” refers to the Wise entity set out in the applicable Wise Card Supplement agreement.

2. About Click to Pay

2.1. Click to Pay is offered by the Card Networks to help speed up your online checkout process at participating merchants by automatically filling in your saved Profile Information. The service consists of two distinct parts:

  • (a) Enrolment of your Wise Card: Wise, as a participating issuer of Network-based cards, facilitates the enrolment of cardholders (i.e., you) into Click to Pay as a standard feature of your Wise Card.

  • (b) Using Click to Pay on Third-Party Sites: When you use Click to Pay to make a payment on a participating merchant website, the checkout experience and payment interface are provided and controlled by the relevant Card Network.

2.2. Wise only provides the enrolment and Click to Pay management interface for your Wise Card within the Wise App / Website. The actual checkout experience and secure data transmission during a payment completed using Click to Pay are managed by the relevant Card Network. Any issues specifically regarding the checkout experience or payment interface should be directed to the relevant Card Network or merchant.

3. Enrolment and Eligibility

3.1. Automatic Enrolment. In line with Card Network requirements, Wise may automatically enroll an eligible Wise Card into Click to Pay as a standard feature of the Wise Card when:

  • You have ordered or signed up for a new Wise Card; or

  • You have renewed or replaced an existing Wise Card.

3.2. Existing Card. If you are an existing holder of an eligible Wise Card, you may also voluntarily enroll your Wise Card into Click to Pay through the Wise App / Website.

3.3. Consent. By requesting a new Wise Card, renewing or replacing your existing Wise Card, or voluntarily enrolling your existing Wise Card, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You consent to the enrolment of your Card into Click to Pay;

  • You authorise Wise to share your Profile Information with the relevant Card Network to create and activate your Click to Pay profile; and

  • You agree to these Terms and the applicable terms and conditions of the relevant Card Network regarding their operation of the Click to Pay service.

3.4. Right to Opt Out. You are not required to use Click to Pay to use your Wise Card. If you do not wish to be enrolled, you may manage your enrollment or deactivate the feature at any time by adjusting your Click to Pay settings within the Wise App / Website.

3.5. Suspension. Wise reserves the right to suspend or disable the Click to Pay feature for your Card at any time if we suspect fraud, security concerns, or if required by the Card Network or applicable law.

4. Your Data and Privacy

4.1. Processing by Wise. You acknowledge and agree that to facilitate the enrolment described in Section 3, Wise will collect your Profile Information and share this with the relevant Card Network, in accordance with our Click to Pay Privacy Notice.

4.2. Processing by Card Network. You acknowledge that once your Profile Information has been transmitted to the relevant Card Network, the processing, storage, and use of that data becomes subject to the Card Network’s own privacy policies and practices. Wise does not control, and assumes no liability for, how the Card Network uses your Profile Information after transmission. The Card Network is solely responsible for its own processing activities, including storing data in their Click to Pay database, performing security verification (such as sending One Time Passcodes), and sharing information with merchants when you use Click to Pay at checkout.

5. Liability and Disclaimers

5.1. No Warranty. Wise facilitates the enrolment of your Card into Click to Pay on an "as is" basis. We do not warrant that the Click to Pay service provided by the Card Networks will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

5.2. Limitation of Liability. As the Click to Pay checkout experience is controlled by the Card Network, Wise shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or claim arising from:

  • Technical failures, errors, or security breaches occurring within the Card Network’s systems or on a participating merchant’s website;

  • Any refusal by a merchant to accept Click to Pay; or

  • Any unauthorised transactions arising from the compromise of your credentials on a third-party site or device, except where such loss is directly caused by Wise’s negligence.

6. Changes to these Terms

6.1. We may change these Terms at any time. We may amend these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on our website or app. Your continued use of the Wise Card or Click to Pay after any changes are effective constitutes your acceptance of our revised Terms.
