You’ll need to log into your PC Financial account to view your Interac e-Transfer limits. These limits may differ depending on your transfer type and account.
Here’s how to view your Interac e-Transfer limits:
Step 1. Log into your online PC Financial account
Step 2. Select your PC Money account
Step 3. Select “Transaction Limits”
Interac sets these limits, so you won’t be able to increase them. If you want to send more than 500 CAD, your payment will likely take up to 30 minutes to complete.⁴
Interac is an easy way to transfer money to recipients in Canada. To send a digital Interac e-Transfer via your PC Money account, simply follow these steps:
Step 1. Log in to your PC Financial account via online banking or the mobile app
Step 2. Select “Move Money”
Step 3. Select “Interac e-Transfer”
Step 4. Select “Send Money”
Step 5. Enter your recipient’s contact details
Step 6. Enter the amount to send and confirm your payment
You can also use your PC Money account to request money via Interac e-Transfer. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
Step 1. Log into your PC Financial online banking account
Step 2. Select “Move Money”
Step 3. Select “Interac e-Transfer”
Step 4. Select “Request Money”
Step 5. Enter your recipient’s contact details
Step 6. Enter the amount you need and confirm your request
Step 7. Your contact will receive notification of your request²
If you regularly send and receive money via Interac, you may also want to set up Interac Autodeposit for your PC Money account.
This feature allows you to receive e-Transfers directly into your bank account, without the need for you to answer a security question first.
Here’s how to set up Interac Autodeposit via your PC Money account:
Step 1. Log into your PC Financial account
Step 2. Select “Move Money”
Step 3. Select “Interac e-Transfer”
Step 4. Select “Manage Autodeposit”
Step 5. Enter the email address or phone number you use for Interac e-Transfers
Step 6. Confirm your bank account details
Step 7. You’ll receive an email or text to verify Autodeposit. Follow the instructions to confirm your account details³
It’s free to send and receive Interac e‑Transfers with your PC Money account.However, if you want to cancel an e-Transfer, you’ll pay 3.50 CAD.
Withdrawing from a Mastercard® ATM outside Canada costs 3 CAD per cash withdrawal. You’ll also pay a yearly inactivity fee of 20 CAD if you haven’t used your account in 12 months.⁵
PC Financial doesn’t charge a foreign exchange transaction fee, but you may still pay a markup in the exchange rate. When you make a foreign currency transaction using your PC Financial Mastercard, you’ll be charged a foreign currency conversion markup. This is worked out as a percentage of your payment amount. Mastercard’s exchange rate and foreign currency conversion markup are incorporated into the conversion rate and Canadian dollar transaction amount shown on your PC Financial statement.
Make sure to look into Mastercard’s currency conversion costs before withdrawing, sending or spending money abroad.⁶
You can send Canadian dollars from your account without limits– or you can send up to 25,000 CAD using Interac® e-Transfer.
If you want to send a large transfer, you’ll first need to verify your identity. Wise will ask for a few verification documents, for your large transfer such as a government-issued ID.
This keeps your money safe. It ensures your funds will reach your intended recipient – and it can stop someone from transferring a large payment from your account without permission.
