However, there’s a difference between CIBC's no foreign transaction fee credit cards and US dollar credit cards. While you won’t pay a fee for spending in US dollars with your USD Aventura Gold card, CIBC still charges for purchases in other foreign currencies.²
The CIBC USD Aventura Gold Visa card is best suited to those who visit, live or work in the US. To be eligible for the CIBC USD Aventura Gold Visa card, you’ll need a minimum annual household income of 15,000 USD.¹ Your card will also have a minimum credit limit of 1000 USD.³

Although CIBC’s USD Aventura Gold Visa card is aimed at frequent travellers, you’ll still face some fees for using your credit card abroad.

You’ll also pay a 35 USD annual fee for your credit card, but you can access a rebate for the first year if you meet certain eligibility criteria.¹
