With the Wise account, you can have access to local bank details in the United States for free to receive money or get paid in USD.

What is a multi-currency account?

The Wise multi-currency account is designed for people living international lives that need to get paid or make payments into different currencies, such as USD. There are no hidden fees, and you no longer need bank accounts in multiple countries.

We built it because getting a bank account abroad is difficult, time-consuming and expensive. And that’s a problem for expats, freelancers and people who live and work in more than one country. It’s also a problem for international businesses.

How does the account work?

You can get:

US account number, routing and wiring number
UK account number and sort code
European IBAN
Australian account number and BSB number
New Zealand account number
Singapore SWIFT/ BIC code and account number

These are your personal bank details. You can give them to friends, family, companies or clients to get paid in local currencies, directly into your Wise account. It's a local bank transfer for your sender so it's free for you to receive money with these bank details.

How do I set up an account?

You can set it up quickly and easily online.

Do you have business abroad?

You can use your bank details to receive payments of companies or platforms like Amazon and Paypal directly into your Wise account, just like a local company.

The only difference to personal accounts is that requesting your bank details as a business may have a small cost. Find out if it makes sense for you to open a business account.

You can also send and spend your money

When you have a balance in your Wise account, you can convert it to more than 55 different currencies, and then send the money to your local bank account in your home country, for example. You’ll always get the real exchange rate and low fees with Wise. In case you need to make payments in USD, you can also set up direct debits.
