What is Tomorrowland Thailand?

Tomorrowland Thailand is the Asian edition of Tomorrowland, one of the world’s largest electronic music festivals.² The original Tomorrowland festival launched in Belgium in 2005 and has since become known for immersive stage design and international DJ line-ups.

Thailand was selected as the host country to expand Tomorrowland’s presence in Asia and attract a global audience to the region. The Thailand edition will feature six stages, including the mainstage and additional concepts created specifically for the local setting.

At the time of writing, the official artist line-up has not yet been announced.

If you have attended Tomorrowland in Belgium before, expect different weather conditions. December in Pattaya is hot and humid, with average daytime highs of around 32°C.⁵ In comparison, Boom in Belgium averages around 22°C during the July festival period.⁶

Paying for Tomorrowland Thailand tickets in a foreign currency

Tomorrowland Thailand tickets and packages are priced in Thai baht (THB). If you’re buying from Singapore, the final amount you pay can vary depending on how your card handles foreign currency transactions.

Many Singapore-issued credit cards charge a foreign transaction fee of around 3.25%, which is added on top of the exchange rate used by the card network. This fee is often not shown clearly at checkout and only appears once the transaction is processed.

For example, based on the listed ticket prices:

  • A 3-day pass (12,500 THB ≈ 512 SGD) could cost around 529 SGD after a 3.25% foreign transaction fee

  • A VIP 3-day pass (20,200 THB ≈ 828 SGD) could increase to around 855 SGD after fees

Using a card with no foreign transaction fee, such as the Wise card, means you pay using the mid-market exchange rate without additional FX markups. This can help you avoid extra costs when paying for tickets, hotel packages, and festival add-ons priced in THB.

If you’re planning to buy higher-priced packages or multiple tickets, it’s worth checking your card’s foreign transaction fee before completing the purchase.

Payment methods at Tomorrowland Thailand

Tomorrowland Thailand will operate as a cashless festival using official Tomorrowland bracelets.¹ Each bracelet acts as both your ticket and payment method.

Before the festival, you’ll need to link your bracelet to your Tomorrowland account and top it up with Pearls, the festival’s digital currency. Pearls can be added online using a debit or credit card. For travellers from Singapore, using a travel-friendly card like the Wise card can help when topping up in Thai baht.

All food, drinks, and merchandise at the festival are paid for using Pearls via the bracelet. Unused Pearls are typically refundable after the event, subject to Tomorrowland’s refund policy.
