You can find and send money to your friends more easily by syncing your phone contacts with your Wise account.
For now, you can sync your contacts on our website and the Wise app for Android. This feature isn't available on iOS yet.
How to sync your contacts
You’ll see the option to sync your contacts in a few different places:
Go to the Recipients tab.
Select the option to Sync contacts.
You can also do this while sending money when asked for your recipient details.
What if I can’t find my friend?
If you’re having trouble adding someone to your contacts, check that:
The phone number on their Wise account is correct and verified.
The phone number in your phone's contacts matches the one on their Wise account.
They have enabled the setting to let people find them.
They have at least one balance open in any currency.
The email address on their Wise account is correct and verified.
Are there any restrictions?
You can’t send money to business accounts using this feature at the moment.
How do I stop people from finding me?
You can manage your discoverability or stop syncing contacts at any time. To do this:
Go to Settings and Security and privacy.
Select Find me by.
From here, you can:
Manage your Wisetag, email, or phone: Toggle these options to choose how people can find you.
Delete my details everywhere: Use this option to remove yourself from all existing recipient lists and remain hidden from future searches.
