How do I replace or cancel my Wise card?

You can replace a lost, stolen, or damaged Wise card, or cancel a card you no longer need, directly from the Wise app or website.

How to replace your card

You can order a new card for a small replacement fee.

  1. Go to the Card tab on the website or app

  2. Select the card you want to replace

  3. Choose the Replace card option

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions

You’ll be asked to choose a reason for the replacement. Please select one of the following options:

  • I lost my card: Freeze your card to protect your account. This is temporary. If you find your card, you can unfreeze it

  • My card was stolen: We’ll permanently cancel your card to prevent anyone from using it. You won't be able to reactivate it

  • My card isn't working: Your current physical card will continue to work for online payments and mobile wallets (like Apple Pay or Google Pay). Keep in mind that replacing your physical card won't affect your digital one. You can still keep using it until you activate the new card

Once you confirm your address, your new card will be on its way.

What's the fee for replacing your card?

We charge a small fee to replace your card. You can check the exact fee for your region on our pricing page.

There's no fee if:

  • Your card is expiring within 6 months

  • Your card was damaged when it arrived

  • Your card never arrived

  • The card has been stolen and you have a police report to send over

Delivery times

Delivery times depend on your region and are estimates in working days. Working days are Monday to Friday, and don't include weekends or public holidays.

What happens when your card expires?

You’ll need to order a new card from your Wise account, under the Cards tab. We don’t automatically send a new one to you.
