Airport Lounge Access Price Comparison Research 2026
A dedicated comparison research team in Wise compared the airport lounge pass prices offered to Wise customers to the walk-in rates offered by the individual airport lounge owners. Rates compared are for baseline single-entry pass for one adult. They found that Wise prices are generally cheaper than walk-in rates, and can be found up to 30 - 50% cheaper in some markets. This is based on the prices offered by Wise Payments Limited during the research period.
Research methodology
The competitor research was collected on 2 February 2026.
They manually collected the walk-in prices available through official airport lounge provider websites in the local currencies, and calculated the difference between those prices and the price offered to Wise customers. Where prices are in the same currencies, there are no exchange rates involved in the comparison process. Where prices are in different currencies, they used the mid-market exchange rates as of 2 February 2026 (EUR/USD: 1.186, GBP/USD: 1.368, AUD/USD: 0.6926, NZD/USD: 0.6001, SGD/USD: 0.7857, BRL/USD: 0.1806, EUR/GBP: 0.863, USD/CHF: 0.7736).
The data was collected by simulating a lounge access purchase on official lounge provider websites, entering the same date and time of entry to ensure consistency across the comparison. They made sure that the prices used for comparison are for lounges accessible using a Wise lounge pass, to ensure a fair comparison.
How did we calculate our price claims?
Comparing fees
For each country, our team compared the fees charged by Wise to the average walk-in fees charged by lounge providers in key international airports in the country.
Calculating savings
The following formula was used to show how much you save with Wise compared to competitors:
- % saving = (Walk-in price - Wise price) / Walk-in price × 100
- This formula tells you the percentage you’d save by using Wise’s lounge pass instead of walking into a lounge in one of the airports used in this comparison research.
What does that look like?
If lounge pass purchase shows a 50% saving, it means Wise prices are up to 50% lower than buying a walk-in lounge entry in that particular country’s key airports.
