Lumon Pay review: Fees, features and how it works
Learn how Lumon Pay works for UK customers sending money abroad. Our guide reviews fees, features, transfer speeds and customer experiences.
Remitly One is a subscription-based membership from international money transfer provider Remitly. It combines a digital wallet, debit card, rewards programme, and a "send now, pay later" feature into a single monthly plan.¹
At the time of writing, Remitly One is only available to selected customers in the United States and is not yet available in the UK. ¹ ² However, UK users researching international money transfers may still come across the service and want to understand how it works, what it costs, and whether similar alternatives are available.
This guide explains Remitly One's features, membership costs, and what UK users should know before joining a waitlist or considering alternatives.
Remitly One is Remitly's all-in-one financial membership, launched in September 2025. It is designed for people who regularly send money across borders and want access to additional financial tools alongside international transfers.¹
No. As of early 2026, Remitly One is only available to selected customers in the United States.¹ ²
Remitly has announced plans to expand the service to additional countries, but there is currently no confirmed launch date for the UK. If you're interested in the service, you can join a waitlist through Remitly to receive updates on future availability.¹
The membership costs $9.99 USD per month.¹ The amount charged in pounds depends on the exchange rate used by your payment provider at the time of billing.
Remitly One brings together four main features:¹
Remitly Flex is one of the membership's most distinctive features. If you need to send money urgently but don't currently have the full amount available, Flex gives eligible members instant access to up to $250 USD to send abroad. There is no interest charge and no credit check required.¹
Non-members can access a more limited version of Flex, but Remitly One members receive instant access and can make multiple withdrawals up to their approved limit. First-time users may qualify for between $50 and $250 USD.¹
Standard Remitly transfer fees still apply separately from any Flex advance.
Members can earn annual rewards on eligible USD balances held in the Remitly Wallet. The reward rate is variable and may change over time.¹ Rewards are calculated daily and paid weekly.
In addition, members may earn up to $5 USD in monthly cashback for qualifying actions such as enrolling in autopay or making on-time Flex repayments. Cashback is currently earned at 1% of eligible activities, capped at $5 USD per month.¹
Once Remitly One becomes available to you, the sign-up process takes place through the Remitly app:¹
All features are integrated into the existing Remitly app, so no separate download is required.
The Remitly Wallet is a stored-value wallet rather than a bank account. Members can hold funds, earn rewards on eligible balances, and use wallet funds to pay for transfers.¹
When transfers are funded from a wallet balance, Remitly applies its available exchange rate for that transaction. Remitly has also announced plans to introduce additional multi-currency functionality, including support for stablecoins, although no confirmed launch date has been provided.¹
Remitly One costs $9.99 USD per month and is billed automatically. Members can cancel at any time.¹
The subscription fee does not include money transfer fees. Transfers remain subject to Remitly's standard charges, which may include an upfront transfer fee and an exchange rate markup above the mid-market rate.¹
For UK senders using Remitly's standard transfer service, fees vary depending on the destination country, payment method, transfer amount, and delivery speed selected.³
Over a full year, a Remitly One membership costs approximately $120 USD, so it may be worth considering whether the available benefits outweigh the subscription cost.
Remitly generally offers two delivery speeds for international transfers:³
| Delivery option | Typical speed | Notes |
| Economy | 3–5 working days | Lower-cost option, often funded by bank transfer |
| Express | Within minutes | Faster option, typically funded by debit card |
Delivery times vary depending on the destination country, payment method, compliance checks, and recipient payout method.
If you're based in the UK and want to send, hold, and spend in multiple currencies without paying a monthly subscription, the Wise account may be worth considering.
With the Wise account, you can:
The Wise account is free to open and has no monthly fee. Fees for transfers are shown upfront, and Wise uses the mid-market exchange rate.
Remitly One costs $9.99 USD per month. The subscription includes access to member benefits such as Remitly Flex, wallet rewards, and monthly cashback. Transfer fees are charged separately.¹
No. At the time of writing, Remitly One is only available to selected customers in the United States. Remitly has announced plans to expand availability, but there is currently no confirmed UK launch date.¹ ²
No. The monthly membership fee only covers access to membership benefits. Standard Remitly transfer fees and exchange rate markups may still apply when sending money internationally.¹
Remitly Flex is a send-now-pay-later feature that gives eligible users access to up to $250 USD for international transfers. There is no interest charge and no credit check, but the amount must be repaid within 90 days.¹
