Gimpo International Airport opened in 1939. It was Seoul's first and only airport until Incheon International Airport opened.

Seoul’s airports are served by several major airlines, like Air France, British Airways, American Airlines, KLM and Swiss. When it comes to destinations, the most popular ones include Tokyo, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Taipei.

Getting to and from the Airport

You can go to and from Incheon Airport by public transport or by car. Your first option are the Airport Railroad train, the Limousine Bus and the Incheon Bus. If you'll be driving to Incheon Airport, parking fees start 9,000 KRW per day for long-term parking. Finally, you can rent a car at the airport, from one of the two providers - SK Rent-a-Car or Lotte Rent-a-Car.

When it comes to reaching Gimbo Airport, you can do it using Subway line 5 or 9, the Airport Shuttle Bus or the AREX train. If you'd like to rent a car, visit the offices of Lotte Car rental, SK Car rental or GoGo Car rental at the floor 1 of the Domestic Terminal. Airport parking starts at 20,000 KRW, but make sure you check, since the rate depends on car size, parking spot location etc.
